A course of study in any institution of learning might bestow on man great skill and technicality but may not empower the individual.
Empowerment comes from the originality of ideas, concept and programs of action! One’s thought ought to synchronize with the state of nature to effect meaningful development, change and power.
This influence scientifically speaking can hit Mr. No body (in fact it has been proved beyond all reasonable doubt that scientific idea more often than not hit lay men, neophyte in the field) and make them relevant in time and space. It takes the service of men and women of skill (technology) to transform scientific fact (ideas) to reality (goods and services).
It does not necessarily take a Mr. Professor to invent or originate an idea. It can happen to the best and the least of humanity. An idea becomes a reality, that is an invention or discovery once it conforms to the natural laws of the universe.
An invention is just man’s ability to really understand the natural or native functions of a thing or group of things; the art of bringing together one, two, three or more dissimilar things- apt metaphor to serve a basic function and purpose in life.
Suffice it to say, that scientific ideas flow naturally; that man has the ability to arrange and organize scientific facts from observing and studying the world around him, which will avail him wonderful ideas for creativity.
It is in asking questions and probing the environment that answers are turned around for inventions.
A phenomenon naturally speaking is an ingredient for invention, for the mysteries of nature are unfolded as man searches and endeavors to understand the phenomenon.
It takes a probing, searching and questioning mind to make a mark in science. Nature abhors a state of vacuum. Nothing is unknown in nature. Man has a great propensity and tendency to search and find out the basic facts of nature. Nature lies open before man. Science abhors superstition. Superstitious individuals do not make it scientifically and otherwise. It takes boldness and forthrightness to make a remarkable impact in life. Scientific ideas come to man as he sets his heart to search and unravel the mysteries of nature through the following means:
- Flashes of insight
- Eureka phenomenon
- Outright revelation through visions and dreams
Scientific ideas come with much agility and alacrity. Suffice it to say, that it is in questioning the universe that scientific ideas flow. One remarkable fact of nature is there is nothing in nature that cannot be helped. Every question of time has an answer. Nature has done so well to provide all the answers to all the questions of life in time and space. Man’s part, is to look intently at a situation with a probing and questioning mind. It will be surprising to see the answers begging for connection. One can say that, the making of an airplane was not magical but rather a scientific feat. The airplane came as man observed, probed and questioned life. Man sought to unravel the mysteries of life at that juncture and his finding led to the metal bird-airplane. A scientific mind does not discard ideas. He makes sure that every idea that comes to him is secured. The scientific mind is the reason for existence, for as it searches, probes and questions life, the mysteries of life are unfolded.
The world would not have reached the present state of existence had the Wright brothers not picked the facts one by one and turned them into their pet dream: the airplane! Life, which flows as ideas, comes to keep life going in all directions.
It is quite obvious that man has the power from the beginning of life to originate ideas for inventions.
The universe is laid bare and naked before man. Nature has made it possible that the only way the peasants can make up with the rest of humanity is through scientific ideas and innovations.
It is crystal clear at the moment that the world has entered a new phase of living. A new and profound generation is coming up. It is therefore, necessary that ideas and thought will flow as never before to effect remarkable changes in the universe.
In unfolding the mysteries of science, the following facts are brought to bear:
1.Start from the known to the unknown. Science is nature’s study. Man has to understand the underlying facts of nature (a particular thing) before the knowledge is used practically to effect changes for man. Scientists had to understand all the facts of lightening and thunders before they could prove the theories of electricity and developed the electric generator, electric lamps and so on and so forth.
You have to use physical things (known things in our environment, those things we can see, touch, smell, hear and taste) to prove and illustrate immaterial things (those things we cannot see, touch, smell, hear and taste). A proper knowledge of the material will translate into the immaterial (the unseen world of reality).
The physical, the known plays an important role in attracting the immaterial. The two planes of existence: material and immaterial co-exist, co-habit, correlate and are interdependent.
There is an outstanding relationship between what is seen and what is unseen, and what is known and what is unknown.
An idea comes handy as man exploits his human faculties: the senses to unravel and understand physical realities.
1.Puzzle a while on the seen to get the unseen. The road and the bridge to the world of immaterial (idea) is through the seen (the world). A proper knowledge of the world (physical) will transport an individual into the world of ideas which invariably will turn to inventions and discoveries in time and space. No idea will come man’s way until he knows what he is doing. As man makes attempts to understand the world around him, facts are revealed to him about the state of things. Every material has its immaterial equivalent and vice versa.
As men puzzles, observes and takes notes, from the physical point of view, the curtain of the unseen world is torn!
1.Ask material questions to get immaterial answers. Behind every Scientific feat is a question asked by a sincere seeker. Nature has all the answers to all man’s inherent problems.
There is no problem of time without a solution. It takes man asking genuine questions about life to attract the answers from no where. All the scientific feats came in the form of ideas which sincere seekers receive in answer to their questions of life.
A problem at a time might look insurmountable, but as men take time to look at the problem, solutions are bound to flow from unexpected quarters.
1.Pray for Facts:
Scientific minds arise out of great curiosity and venturesome attitude of life. Praying for facts, means systematic approach to life’s problems, that is to say, that man is leaving no stone unturned in getting answer to life’s problems.
Since the year 1981, AIDS and HIV are giving man serious cause for concern. As I wrote this book in the year 1998, man has not got a perfect answer to the AIDS malady.
You see, as men and women, professionals and non-professionals alike are working round the clock globally, that is, praying for facts, it is quite obvious that it won’t take time before the problems of AIDS and HIV are solved by man
1.Plant the facts, the ideas as seeds.
Once an idea has struck, the proper thing to do scientifically and otherwise is to plant the ideas as a seed (a garden seed). You have to accord due priority to the idea. Give it all it takes and go the whole length with it. Don’t allow the enemies to trample and truncate the idea. The time element at this juncture should be made a top priority.
The time frame might be short, medium or long!
Let me reiterate that man has creative power: natural abilities and tendencies to create and make things happen. He needs great insight, power of vision, great learning, and skills to handle life on a general basis!
Now: WHAT SHOULD BE DONE AFTER MAN HAS GOT AN ANSWER TO THE PROBLEMS OF LIFE?
Is man to sound the trumpet immediately and let the powers that be respond or wait for his turn in time and space?
You see, there are five periods in nature.
- The period of gestation
- The period of birth
- The period of growth
- The period of maturity
- The period of harvest
A sincere seeker has to follow tenaciously, scientifically and otherwise these five periods of life.
THE MYSTERY OF LIFE: NATURE ABHORS A STATE OF VACUUM.
Life as a matter of fact does not exist in isolation. There is co-relationship, interdependence in nature. The idea of Mr. A might be what Mr. B needs at the moment to prove his point in time and space. It is quite clear that life that releases an idea is opened and ready to absorb same. The life that generates an idea will transform itself in time and space to see that the idea is useful to man. There is perfect alignment in nature.
There is that invisible cord that links and transports all natural tendencies to serve man’s purpose in time and space. The human brain as a matter of fact is the processor and transporter of all natural tendencies, serving man’s purpose in time and in space. The human brain is the processor and transporter of all natural realities to man.
A scientific mind is never in a hurry. There is no need, therefore, to shout or blow the trumpet when it is not infinitemally necessary in time and space. Just keep on keeping on. The scientific mind ought to know the right time and manner to blow the trumpet and get the attention of the powers that be.
Let time test and approve that fact of nature and reality will surface at the right time.
At the point of actualization, life will enter and empower the individual for the historic service to humanity.
A scientific mind is an investment to the core. For no sooner than, life will play a beautiful game with it.
Nature is always on course to take creativity to its awesome peak! Let no idea or thought be thrown over board, for that idea or thought might be a reason of life. Wait for your turn in life, when life will visit you, awesomely, handsomely and profoundly!
