The purpose of this discourse is to outline the role that accountability plays in inter-personal relationship, societal growth and human development. What is accountability?
Accountability refers to man’s commitment to a given trust. It is man’s trustworthiness in a given concern in time and space. It connotes man’s mundane ability in using his will-power to handle diligently and sensitively the trust reposed in him by a higher authority(powers that be). Accountability entails how one responds to the issues affecting him as he discharges his duty and obligation to the society .
Accountability shows how man handle the complex and delicate issues affecting him in his job and daily living. The infinite law of accountability states that man must bring himself to bear on his responsibility that once something is committed into your hands, you have to use your human ability and power to protect, guide, and secure the thing, so that at the time it will be required, you will be able to produce it .
There is a great challenge involved in accountability as it accords the individual a place in the scheme of things by the powers that be. You see, there is punishment for belittling responsibility . Any person that fails to deliver must be punished severally . The law of just and reward is severe and stern. It does not matter whether it is little or much. Nature is strongly against trifling of responsibility.
