One of the mistakes that young people make is the thought or belief that every body has to be like them. That once they are married or in any kind of relationship that the other person or partner has to be like them. That what they like, eat or drink or what the partner should like, eat or drink. They more often than not do not pay attention to human nature, which is broad, complex and diverse. Each person is coming from an area, background, training, culture, and discipline or lack of it . We have different mindset and belief system as of a result of our interaction with people and society. There are likes, dislikes and preferences in every individual and culture . It is said, that one man’s meat is another man’s poison. So in a relationship, the earlier the human nature which is deep, complex, diverse and complicated is understood the better for you and your family and the society in general . There is a serious problem in the family if one of the partners is economically at an advantage. That one would want the other to lose his or her identity and then to conform, otherwise, hell would be let loose. Although, it is said, that he that pays the piper dictates the tune. That is true, but there will a problem if the one paying the piper refuses to respect and honour the other party or partner and carry him or her along. Respect of our diverse humanity is vitally important in maintaining the family values. We need to respect the other person’s values, likes, dislikes and preferences for peace to reign supreme in our homes. See You.
